Meryl-Lynn Pluck, Director
MPhil [Hons] specialising in reading difficulties, BEd, Dip Teaching

Meryl-Lynn has a MPhil (Hons) with a specialisation in reading difficulties from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where she studied under the guidance of Marie Clay. Her research into effective literacy practices with struggling readers has been published internationally and she is sought after as a presenter at educational forums around the world.

As a trained reading recovery teacher she has worked extensively with struggling readers for over twenty years with proven results. Based on her understanding of a variety of successful literacy programmes and her own experience with teaching struggling readers, Meryl-Lynn developed the audio-assisted Rainbow Reading Programme, which is widely used in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and the United Kingdom. It is available from Pacific Learning in the United States as the New Heights Program.
